Pictograph of a Teepee from the Eneolithic period, Akbaur, Kazakhstan

This pictograph carries multiple meanings. ONe is a stylized figure of a dwelling in the form of a man; the dewelling resembles a Teepee. The pictography is done in a technique called Pisanitsy using ocher. It dates to the Eneolitic period in Kazakhstan (c. 4,000 to 3,000 B.C.) between the stone and the bronze ages. It was found at Akbaur Grotto in Eastern Kazakhstan.
