This bronze mirrow was found in a woman's grave of the Kichak (turkic) tribe in the Zevakinsky burial mound in eastern Kazakhstan. it dates to the 9th or 10th century A.D. Its Runic inscription reads, "The noble lady loses her feelings of envy; her happy times are comin." It refers to a supersitition that looking in a mirror takes away evil feelings.
